Palembang,the8news.com — Perhelatan Asian Games 2018 di Jakarta dan Palembang sudah mulai bergulir sejak 18 Agustus lalu. Even akbar empat tahunan yang diikuti oleh negara-negara se Benua Asia ini sekaligus menjadi tantangan bagi Bangsa Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah untuk dapat melaksanakan even ini dengan sukses. Salah satu faktor penting suksesnya Asian Games ini adalah tersedianya suplai listrik yang continue.
Untuk itu, selain telah mengoperasikan sistem kelistrikan berlapis, PLN juga telah mensiagakan puluhan Genset Mobile dan UPS, Sebanyak hampir dua ratusan pegawai PLN juga dilibatkan dalam piket siaga selama perhelatan berlangsung.
Dalam salah satu kesempatannya, General Manager PT PLN (Persero) WS2JB, Daryono didampingi Manajer Bidang Distribusi Abdul Haris dan Manajer Area Palembang Joni beserta Manajer APD S2JB Nanang Prasetyo, mengunjungi Bandara Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II pada Selasa, 21 Agustus 2018.
Kunjungan ini disambut hangat oleh Angkasa Pura, Bayuh Iswantoro.
Dalam kunjungan ini, PT PLN (Persero) WS2JB memantau dan memastikan keamanan pasokan listrik di Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II yang memiliki daya 4.330.000 VA, mengingat padatnya aktivitas bandara yang dalam sehari bisa melayani sekitar 130 penerbangan, baik keberangkatan maupun kedatangan. Selain itu Bandara juga merupakan objek vital terutama untuk kegiatan Asian Games.
Daryono menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ini bisa menjadi wadah silaturahmi antara PT PLN (Persero) WS2JB dan Angkasa Pura, “Silaturahmi ini penting karena PT PLN (Persero) WS2JB dan Angkasa Pura berperan penting untuk kelancaran rangakaian Kegiatan Asian Games, dan dalam kesempatan ini kita juga membahas koordinasi teknis untuk mengamankan pasokan listrik di bandara pada khususnya”, tutup beliau seusai acara.
