Angkot berwarna cokelat ini keluar jalur lantaran diduga terjadi keributan di dalam mobil.
Akibat kejadian tersebut, sebanyak lima unit sepeda motor milik tukang ojek setempat rusak karena terlindas mobil. Edo (36), seorang supir ojek pangkalan yang motornya hancur ditabrak oleh angkot ini mengatakan, kejadian tersebut terjadi seketika saat dia dan rekan-rekannya sedang mangkal di depan Ampera Skatepark. “Tiba-tiba dari arah BKB menujuh Masjid Agung  Mobil Anggkot Tangga Buntung datang ngebut, sepertinya di dalam mobil  Sopir lagi ribut dengan seseorang,” ujarnya.
“Yo pak, seperti biasa kami lagi mangkal menunggu penumpang tiba-tiba ado mobil anggkot jurusan tangga buntung ngebut dan saya lihat sopirnya lagi ribut didalam sambil menyetir, akibat tidak kontrol membawa mobil akhirnya mobil menabrak motor kami  dan naik ke trotoar, ” tambahnya.
Tidak ada korban jiwa ataupun terluka dalam tragedi ini. Sedangkan usai kejadian, Supir Anggkot Tangga Buntung langsung melarikan diri sementara mobil angkot dan motor dibawa ke Mapolresta Palembang. (Dian)
