Palembang, The8news.com – Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga (Menpora) Republik Indonesia (RI), Dr H Zainudin Amali secara khusus hadir memberikan semangat kepada para peserta Sosialisasi Youth Fun Juggling Competition “Main Bola Yuk” di Ballroom Hotel Novotel, Palembang, Selasa (8/12).
Youth Fun Juggling Competition klaster Palembang diikuti 310 peserta. Sebanyak 280 peserta secara virtual dan 30 peserta lainya hadir langsung atau fisik di Hotel Novotel. Para peserta berasal dari 11 Sekolah Sepak Bola (SSB) di Kota Palembang. Sebut saja Persegrata Alang-Alang Lebar, Elang Emas Sriwijaya, Kobar, Planet, Putra Sunda, Limas, Pusri, Pertamina, BMW, Pandawa, serta Mateor.
Selain Menpora, hadir juga Wakil Ketua Umum PSSI Pusat Iwan Budianto, Wakil Gubernur Sumsel H Mawardi Yahya dan sejumlah pejabat baik dari Kementrian Pemuda dan Olahraga (Kemenpora) serta beberapa kepala dinas dari Pemprov Sumsel.
Menurut Menpora Youth Fun Juggling Competition 2020 digelar dalam rangka mendukung Tim Nasional (Timnas) Sepakbola Indonesia di Pentas Dunia. Juga menggelorakan olahraga sepakbola kepada masyarakat seluruh Indonesia.
“Total kegiatan ini diikuti 11.160 peserta dilaksanakan di 36 Kabupaten atau Kota dari 6 Provinsi. Yakni Sumsel, Jawa Barat, DKI Jakarta, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur dan Bali. Peserta dari SSB umur 12-16 tahun. Pelaksanaan dilakukan, 28 November hingga 14 Desember 2020,” kata Menpora kepada awak media usai membuka Youth Fun Juggling Competition Klaster Palembang.
Lebih lanjut Menpora mengatakan, Sumatera Selatan sudah cukup pengalaman menggelar even olahraga internasional. Sebut saja SEA Games XXVI-2011, Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) III-2013, Asian University Games (AUG) 2015 serta Asian Games XVIII-2018. “Semua sudah yang belum dunia dan sekarang kita kasih urusan dunia,” kata.
Masih kata Menpora Pemerintah tentu mempertimbangkan dan kesiapan daerah.
“Tapi kita tidak meragukan kesiapan Sumsel. Karena yang datang nanti calon bintang dunia, siapapun yang datang harus diberi kesan yang bagus. Kalau kita berikan pelayanan maksimal mereka akan sangat berkasan. Baik dari segi, budaya ditampilkan, kuliner sehingga terkesan,” ujar Zainudin Amali.
Menpora juga mengucapkan terima kasih atas keseriusan Sumsel mempersiapkan diri menjadi tuan rumah Piala Dunia U-20. “Sesuai instruksi presiden no 3 Tahun 2019, perihal percepatan pembangunan sepak bola. Kita mendukung Timnas ke pentas dunia. Timnas U-19 saat ini sedang berlatih di luar negeri, bahkan pernah ngalahin klub luar negeri luar biasa. Ini harus disemarakan. Masyarakat harus semarak masih ada waktu. Kita lihat kota Paling semarak kita akan beri apresiasi. Kita akan beri penghargaan. Selamat bertanding peserta Youth Fun Juggling Competition. hadiahnya menarik (jersey Timnas Original),” ujar dia.
Sementara itu Wakil Gubernur Sumatera Selatan, H Mawardi Yahya mengaku sangat bahagia menyongsong Pentas Dunia. “Kami lebih dari siap, boleh dibilang siap lahir batin. Sukseskan Pentas Dunia di Sumsel. GSJ sudah siap, kita anggarkan Rp 25 M untuk renovasi,” kata Mawardi Yahya.
Lebih lanjut Mawardi mengungkapkan sejumlah kegiatan sepak bola secara rutin sudah digelar di Sumsel. Mulai dari Piala Gubernur, Sarana Olahraga seperti pembangunan stadion di Kabupaten dan Kota, dan pembagian 1 Juta bola.
“Mohon bimbingan kalau ada yang kurang pas agar tidak memalukan Pak Menpora dalam hadapi turnamen sepak bola pentas dunia,” tukas dia.
Wakil Ketua Umum PSSI Iwan Budianto mengaku bersyukur masih bisa beraktivitas meski ditengah pandemi Covid-19. “Kita setengah mati memutar kompetisi, tapi inovasi dari Kementrian Pemuda dan Olahraga bisa melakukan kompetisi juggling. Acara yang dibuat ini sambil menyelam minum air,” ujarnya.
Di satu sisi lanjut Iwan Budianto kompetisi lebih kepada supaya para peserta Youth Fun Juggling Competition lebih bersemangat.
“Sekian lama tidak ada kegiatan tentunya semangat warga Palembang dan sekitarnya bisa terbakar. Anak yang baru lahir saja harus tahu bahwa Mei di Palembang ada Piala Dunia. Artinya sosialisasi ini memang harus luar biasa,” kata Iwan Budianto.
Sebagai informasi, Sumsel bakal menjadi tuan rumah Piala Dunia U-20 2021, Mei hingga Juni nanti. Untuk Youth Fun Juggling Competition di Sumsel dilaksanakan di enam daerah. Yakni Palembang, Banyuasin, Musi Banyuasin, Ogan Ilir, Prabumulih dan Muara Enim. (jfa)
