Jumlah Penduduk OKU Berkurang 17 Ribu Jiwa
BATURAJA, The8news.com- Jumlah penduduk di Baturaja, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) mengalami pengurangan mencapai 17 ribu lebih. Dengan turunnya jumlah penduduk ini tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah kursi DPRD OKU.
“Jumlah kursi masih tetap 35 kursi, sebab jumlah penduduk di OKU mencapai di atas 357.000 penduduk. Mekanisme penetapan jumlah kursi ini sesuai dengan UU No 7 tahun 2017 tentang Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu),” kata Ketua KPU OKU, Naning Wijaya saat dibincangi wartawan pada kegiatan Sosialisasi Penataan Daerah Pemilihan dan alokasi kursi untuk pemilu 2019 di OKU, Senin (18/12).
Turunnya jumlah penduduk ini memang tidak mempengaruhi jumlah kursi di pada Pemilihan Legeslatif di OKU sebanyak 35 kursi. Namun dampaknya kemungkinan bakal adanya perubahan jumlah kursi masing-masing dapil.
“Makanya kita adakan kegiatan soaialisasi ini. Dalam kegiatan sosialisasi ini kita undang Partai Politik (parpol), Panwaslu Kab OKU dan lainya,” kata Naning.
Dalam kegiatan ini Naning juga sampaikan simulasi penataan dapil. Disimulasikan penempatan dapil dan jumlah kursi itu ada empat dapil. Dapil I (satu), wilayah Kecamatan Baturaja Timur disimulasikan menjadi 10 kursi.
Dapil II (dua) wilayah, Kecamatan Baturaja Barat, Lubuk Batang dan Lubukraja di simulasikan 10 kursi.
Kemudian Dapil III (tiga) wilayah, Kecamatan Peninjauan, Sinar Peninjauan dan Kedaton Peninjauan Raya disimulasikan 6 kursi. Dapil IV (empat) disimulasikan wilayah Sosoy Buay Rayab, Ulu Ogan, Semidang Aji, Lengkiti, Muarajayabdan Pengandonan ada 9 kursi.
“Jumlah ada empat dapil. Untuk total keseluruhan kursi DPRD di OKU tetap sama, jumlahmya 35 kursi,” katanya.
Sosialisasi ini KPU sudah melaksanakan proses pembentukan penetapan dapil dengan mengacu pada UU nomor 7 tahun 2017 tentang pemilihan umum dan peraturan KPU nomor 7 tahun 2017 tentang tahapan, program jadwal penyelenggaraan pemilu
“KPU melakukan penetapan dapil menganut 7 prinsip yakni kesetaraan suara, ketaatan pada sistem pemilu yang proporsional, integritas wilayah, coterminimus, kohesivitas dan kesinambungan. Dengan alurnya KPU Kabupaten mengusulkan Dapil ke KPU Provinsi yang akan diteruskan oleh KPU Provinsi ke KPU Pusat untuk diterapkan,”kata Naning. (Jum/Meri)
