Komisi Pemilihan Umum Daerah (KPUD) Kota Lubuklinggau bekerja sama dengan Himpunan Jurnalis Daerah (HJD) Kota Lubuklinggau, Gelar kegiatan Sosialisasi dan Dialog Interaktif Jurnalisme Sehat bagi para insan pers se- Kota Lubuklinggau, Kabupaten Musi Rawas dan Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara (Muratara) di Ballroom Hotel Hakmaz Taba. Selasa (15/5) kemarin.
Dalam sambutannya Ketua HJD Kota Lubuklinggau, Agus Kurniawan mengatakan, pihaknya berharap pers selaku pilar ke-4 demokrasi, nantinya dapat memberikan peran terhadap suksesnya Pemilukada di Kota Lubuklinggau.
“Pers memiliki peran strategis untuk memberikan kontribusinya terhadap suksesnya Pilkada, sehingga diharapkan peran insan pers sangat dibutuhkan,” ungkap Agus
Ketua KPUD Kota Lubuklinggau, Efriadi Suhendri menjelaskan, pihaknya mengapresiasi seluruh kontribusi insan pers dalam mendukung suksesnya Pilkada Kota Lubuklinggau.
“Kami selaku penyelenggara Pilkada, terus melakukan yang terbaik untuk suksesnya Pilkada Kota Lubuklinggau. Hingga saat ini, komunikasi dengan seluruh pihak terus kami lakukan. Namun, kami tentu membutuhkan dukungan seluruh pihak, termasuk peran insan pers dalam membantu penyelenggaraan Pilkada,” jelasnya.
Sementara itu, Pj Walikota Lubuklinggau, H Riki Junaidi mengaku sangat mengapresiasi kegiatan tersebut, sebab peran insan pers sangat penting, termasuk dalam penyelenggaraan pilkada.
“Peran insan pers sangat penting. Kegiatan seperti ini harus menjadi contoh bagi penyelenggara pilkada di daerah. Sehingga, peran pers untuk mensosialisasikan Pilkada sangat dibutuhkan,  Suksesnya Pilkada merupakan harapan kita semua, Semoga kerjasama antara penyelenggara Pilkada dan insan pers terus terjalin kedepan,” pungkas Pj.(zk)
