Wakil Gubernur Sumsel Mawardi Yahya melantik Kepala Sekolah SMA,SMK, SLB dan pengawas dilingkungan Provinsi Sumsel bertempat di aula SMKN 2 Palembang, Senin (7/9/2020). Wagub berharap Kepsek yang sudah dilantik dapat berkompetisi meningkatkan kualitas siswanya.
Mawardi Yahya mengatakan, atas nama Pemprov dia mengucapkan selamat kepala SMA, SMK, SLB dan pengawas.
“Hari ini resmi dilantik Kepsek dan Pengawas.  Sehingga secara konstistusi, aturan hukum bahwa kepsek yang sudah dilantik mempunyai tanggung jawab dan tidak ragu ragu dalam menjalankan pendidikannya di sekolah yang dipimpin,” ujarnya.
Lebih lanjut Mawardi Yahya menuturkan, Pemprov Sumsel punya komitmen yang jelas untuk meningkatkan pendidikan di Sumsel.
“Seluruh SMA, SMK, dan SLB di data apa kebutuhannya, kekurangannya. Apa yang tidak layak, kita benahi. Kita ingin SMA dan SMK lebih baik lagi dibawah Pemprov Sumsel,” katanya.
“Di bidang pendidikan tidak hanya formal. Tapi juga non formal.Anak anak kita seletelah tamat, anak anak non formal juga jadi perhatian kita. Seluruh anak anak SMA, SMK, SLB di Sumsel tergantung dipundak bapak dan ibu.Sekolah berlomba kuallitas yang baik,” tandasnya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Sumael Riza Pahlevi menambahkan, selama ini SK sejak pangalihan dari kabupaten dan kota ke provinsi. “Jadi pelantikan ini, semuanya SK Gubernur,” ucapnya.
Menurutnya, seharusnya ada penyegaran, agar bekerja lebih semangat dengan inovasi.
Karena ada satu tempat menjabat kepsek hingga tujuh tahun lebih.
“Pelantikan ini suatu hal biasa, tanpa ada dikresi. Penyegaran kinerja kepsek.Ada yang promosi, ada yang mantap, ada yang kembali ke staf, ke pejabat struktural,” bebernya.
“Kepsek yang dilantik, SMA  333 orang, Kepala SMK126 orang dan Kepala SLB  12 orang. Pesan saya memanfaatkan waktu, saya kasih pembinaan kiat kita punya semangat anak anak punya ahlak mulia dan pintar. Yang dilantik ini 60 persennya merupakan roling Kepsek,” bebernya.
Ketika disinggung Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar, Riza mengungkapkan, 5-6 persen, kolaborasi daring dan tatap muka.
“Sumsel belum ada zona hijau.Keselamatan dan kesehatan itu yang paling utama,” ucapnya.
“Untuk bantuan kuota  Provider Telkomsel sudah dilaunching. Bapak Gubernur sudah mengundang 27 provider mengatasi sinyal.Diminta Gubernur provider mengatasasi blank sinyal.Bantuan kuota ini sesuai di data dapodik, itu sistem.
